My apartment is on Calle Independencia, right in the center of the city. The "piso" is on the eighth floor (the top floor with an elevator "lift") and has two medium-sized bedrooms, a living-room/dining area, a bathroom, a full kitchen, a laundry area, and a 20-meter terrace overlooking the city. The apartment has central heat and air conditioning. It has Cable TV (CNN, BBC, etc.) It also has high-speed internet access. The terrace faces south - toward the city center. In fact, when you look out from the terrace on the left, you can see the sea, the National Theater of Catalonia (the big white building), the Plaza de las Gloria and the flea market (los Encantes). When you look a little to the right, you can see the Sagrada Familia Church, which is about five blocks away. And to the right, you can see Tibidabo and the mountains surrounding Barcelona.

The apartment is about four short blocks to the Clot Metro/Renfe train station and about two-and-a-half blocks from the Encants station. The Clot subway station is five stops from Plaza Catalunya. Clot Renfe is 40 minutes to Sitges. There are also several bus lines within a three-block area that run day and night.

	The apartment is about a 20-minute walk to the beach and 30 minutes to the port, the one with all the great restaurants!! Here are some recent pictures taken throughout the city.
